How is 9 academy different from other Hotels & Guesthouses ?

We offer much larger spaces than the typical hotel room. Each of our private custom suites occupies an entire floor of our building. At approximately 1000 SF each of interior space, the scale and amenities make it easy for solo travelers, couples and families to travel in luxury.
Our fully equipped kitchenettes allow for light meals and takeout to be prepared in the comfort of your private dining area, saving on the need to eat out during your trip and thus allowing for more cost effective longer stays.
Our flexible sleeping options add a level of comfort when traveling as a family. At an occupancy of four persons per suite there’s no need to pay for two rooms .
Lastly, we provide all the fresh crisp linens, plush towels, Nespresso coffee and complimentary toiletries you need to make your trip a seamless experience.
9 Academy offers all the space and comfort of home with the amenities and style of your favorite boutique hotel.

How do you Accommodate larger parties traveling together ?

Our entire building may be bought out with advance notice and subject to availability.
This allows for groups traveling to events etc to secure the entire property for their private use. As we are centrally located on a village side street your guests will be conveniently housed in a private and peaceful location. See “Room Blocks” for our complete terms here

DO YOU HAVE A RESTAURANT /BAR ON THE PREMISES ?

No , we do not operate a restaurant or bar on the property. The building is walkable to a number of eating establishments and there is full service market across the street where you may purchase supplies to prepare your own meals in our fully equipped kitchenettes.

Where are you located and what is there to do in Salisbury ?

9 Academy is located in the center of the village in Salisbury CT.

Roughly equidistant from NYC and Boston, Salisbury is an historic New England town located at the foot of the Taconic Range in the gateway to the Berkshires. There are a number of prestigious boarding schools within a short distance from us that attract an international crowd, in addition to many world class cultural and art venues all within driving distance. There is a strong rural connection to life in the Northwest Corner, manifested in the unspoiled acres of farmland and land trust protections, farm to table dining and local markets and restaurants supporting local growers. The Appalachian Trail runs through town and there are many hikes and bike rides that make getting outdoors simple. During the winter we are close to multiple ski runs and town hosts the annual Ski Jumps Festival , a fun tradition to check out during the cold season.

Bradley International Airport is the closest air travel hub at approximately 38 miles by car.
